All art submitted for the The Picasso Project 2010 must be 2-dimensional. |

As of 2010 Photoshop will not be considered as a competitive medium for The Picasso Project student art competition per the Picasso Advisory committee 8/4/2009. |

Acceptable mediums include:
oil
crayon
mixed mediums
*chalk
*pastels
*charcoal
photography
*If you are using chalk, pastels or charcoal you must apply fixative spray and a glassine bag on the artwork before sending as to not comprise the artwork.

All artwork must be ready to securely hang (with hanging wire attached on back of piece). |
| |
| 5. |
All artwork must be mounted with a 1" to 2" border. Suggestions for mounting include: mat board or foam core. Please affix artwork to the mounting material with spray glue or tape. |

| 6. |
Do not use staples, paper clips, or any glue that could seep through and damage the artwork. Please do not use cardboard for mounting artwork. |

| 7. |
Please use the predetermined tag and attach to the back of each artwork that is submitted. Art work tag will be made as an attachment in the e-mail registration confirmation. If a tag is not attached to the back of the artwork it will be disqualified. |

Artwork should not be rolled or folded. Please be advised that CTSC and the drop off location are not responsible for returning portfolio carriers |

| 10. |
The size limit for the artwork is not to exceed 24' wide X 30" high including matting. If dimensions are altered, the piece will not fit on the display board. |

| 11. |
DO NOT FRAME ARTWORK. Framed artwork will be automatically disqualified. |

All artwork will be juried regionally first.
The first place winners artwork from middle and high school grade levels from the 10 regions will be brought to Columbia to be juried at the state level after the end of that region's show.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place state winners for middle and high school will be on display at a location TBA prior to the silent auction at The Picasso Project Gala. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place state winners artwork will be matted and framed prior to going on display.
The remaining artwork that does not place at the state level will be matted and go onto to the Gala to be sold through silent auction along with the state winners.

Artwork that is not a regional winner will need to be picked up after the last show date by either the parent or teacher. If the parent or teacher is not able to pick up the student's artwork at that time then an alternate day and time will need to be arranged with the contact at the show location. |

PLEASE NOTE: Neither The Children's Trust of South Carolina nor the show location is liable for artwork left at the show location after the last day of the regional show. Remember DO NOT REMOVE THE 1ST PLACE WINNERS FROM THE DISPLAY. These artwork pieces will be brought to Columbia to be juried at the state level. |
