At The Children's Trust of South Carolina, a big part of our mission is to help community groups become better at helping families who need a boost.
We support those providing direct services by offering training to our Prevent Child Abuse grantees, our affiliated Parent Information and Resource Centers and our Safe Kids coordinators. We work with these groups to build communities that can support families, and we also train group leaders in how to create better nonprofit organizations.
We've also formed the Communities of Practice Education and Curriculum Advisory Committee to provide guidance, input, and leadership on major activities involving child well-being in the state. The committee will work to plan and improve professional development, instruction, and curriculum through out the state.
