CheckOff South Carolina
Through your South Carolina individual income tax
return, you can make a donation to your favorite South Carolina
charity including the Children's Trust of South Carolina. The program, CheckOff South Carolina administered through the South Carolina
Department of Revenue, is a long-standing vehicle for South Carolinians
to give back.
Donations support a wide variety of programs and organizations. From encouraging organ donation to assisting veteran and law enforcement families, from child abuse prevention to preserving our state parks, forests and wildlife, the check-off form has one thing in common. It is a meaningful way for all of us to help keep South Carolina the great state we know it to be.
To donate to the Children's Trust, follow these simple steps.
- Download the tax form S.C. I-330 (PDF) from the S.C. Department of Revenue Web site.
- Enter the amount of your donation on Line 2 of the S.C. I-330 tax form.
- Download the tax form S.C. 1040 (PDF) from the S.C. Department of Revenue Web site.
- Then, enter the same amount on Line 28 of the S.C. 1040 tax form.
- Finally, attach the S.C. I-330 to your tax filing or give this form to your professional tax preparer.
Last year, South Carolina taxpayers gave a little more than $400,000 to their favorite groups or
charity. We know the generous citizens of this state can double that amount in the next five
years. To learn more about other programs and organizations included in CheckOff South Carolina, visit www.checkoff.sc.gov.
It’s an easy way to give!
