A Celebration of South Carolina’s
Exceptional Student Artists
The Picasso Project is an annual statewide student arts
competition featuring artwork from the finest and most promising
student artists across the state. Students in every school
district of the state and at South Carolina’s institutes of
higher education are invited to submit two-dimensional art
projects, which are juried in six regional competitions and then
exhibited in eight regional shows. Following the regional shows,
those regional winning pieces of artwork are displayed and
auctioned at The Picasso Project Gala and Auction on Friday,
April 25th.
The Picasso Project serves three purposes:
- to highlight the talents of South Carolina students
- to provide an avenue to teach students the value of
philanthropy
- to raise funds to benefit The Children’s Trust Fund
of South Carolina/Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina/Voices
for South Carolina’s Children
