What is Cribs for Kids®?
Cribs for Kids® South Carolina is a new statewide initiative of Safe Kids South Carolina led by The Children’s Trust of South Carolina. It is a safe-sleep education program for families to help reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments.
Cribs for Kids® South Carolina provides a safe sleep educational training to parents and in return they may qualify for a Graco Pack 'n Play at no cost.
How did Cribs for Kids® start?
The national Cribs for Kids® program started in 1998 in Pennsylvania. Now there are more than 166 Cribs for Kids® programs nationwide. Cribs for Kids® South Carolina started June of 2010 and has 14 Safe Kids Coalitions across the state to assist in implementing the program.
How can you help?
We are currently seeking funding to be able to implement this program. With your generous donation Cribs for Kids® South Carolina can provide free safe sleep education and offer pack 'n plays to families to ensure a safe sleep environment.
