How You Can Help

Become a Donor

Donate to help us save the life of a child, or learn about other ways to give a gift. You can also find out more about sponsoring Safe Kids through your company or organization.

Volunteer

Volunteer your time at a local coalition near you!

  • You can become a child passenger safety technician and assist in installing car seats properly, which saves children’s lives!
  • You can volunteer to help with a safety event like a child safety seat checkup or bike rodeo.
  • You can partner with Safe Kids to add child safety to existing community activities.
  • You can benefit your local Safe Kids coalition or chapter with an event like a fun walk, auction, or car wash. Local Safe Kids coalitions rely on money raised from a variety of sources to help save the lives of children.

Contact your local coalition or chapter, or for assistance email HVaughn@scchildren.org

Network with us Online

Spreading the word about Safe Kids South Carolina and child safety to your network is a great way to help prevent childhood injuries. Join us on:

Share Your Story

Your story can make a difference. Hearing from parents and caregivers is an important part of how Safe Kids spreads the word about injury prevention. Stories about child injuries – or near misses – can inspire and educate other parents and caregivers on ways to protect their children.

Email us your story at HVaughn@scchildren.org. How has injury affected – or how could it have affected – a child in your life? Please include your full name, address and phone number.

What happens next? After you submit your story, Safe Kids South Carolina will review it carefully. Your story does not have to be written perfectly. Your name and your story will not be shared with anyone without your explicit consent in advance.

If your story is timely and shared by many other parents, Safe Kids South Carolina may contact you about bringing your story to a wide audience.
