2012-2013 “On The Safe Side” Safety Series/ Former Safe Kids SC Calendar

We are excited to announce the new 2012-2013 “On the Safe Side” safety series.  This pilot series will enhance and replace the Safe Kids South Carolina calendar by providing monthly safety resources on risk areas targeted to elementary students.  We believe you will find this series an effective way to communicate the important message of preventing unintentional injuries -- the number one killer of children ages 0-14. We are also excited to make this available to you at no cost.

Each month “On the Safe Side” materials will include posters, tips sheets, interactive activities and student art. Additional resources, including an interactive online quiz and teacher guide, will be available on the Safe Kids S.C. web site. Distribution of the safety series will be quarterly in July 2012, October 2012, January 2013, and April 2013. Each distribution packet will include three months of safety materials. We will also have a summer safety series available for summer months May, June, and July of 2013. Packets will be available for pick up at your local Safe Kids Coordinator’s office, Safe Kids state office in Columbia, or can be shipped for a nominal fee.
