Distribution
Distribution of the 2011-2012 Safety and Prevention Calendar was determined by data provided by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control that shows the counties wit the highest non-fatal and fatal accidents in our state (Source: SC Community Assessment Network (SCAN), SC Department of Health and Environmental Control). The top ten counties of both categories were chosen to allow every student in that county to receive calendars to educate children and their families about the risk of unintentional injuries and reduce these high rates.
Counties:
Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell,Cherokee, Chester, Colleton, Darlington, Dillon, Fairfield, Georgetown, Greenwood, Hampton, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, and Union
Thank you and your students for making the 2011-2012 calendar a success; working together we can help protect our children from preventable injuries.
