What is Children's Trust of South Carolina?
We are the state's largest network of community-based organizations working for the prevention of child abuse, neglect and unintentional injuries. It is the product of a merger between Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina, Voices for South Carolina's Children and Safe Kids South Carolina.
Why did these organizations merge?
The decision to merge was based on the goal to maximize resources available for the prevention of child abuse, neglect and unintentional injuries prevention in South Carolina.
What is Children's Trust's mission?
Preventing child abuse, neglect and unintentional injuries by promoting healthy, nurturing relationships between children and
adults.
What does Children's Trust do?
We focus our resources on community engagement, distributing grants, community trainings and on advocating effective and evidence-based public policies.
What are the income sources for Children's Trust?
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on
donations and grants to operate. A breakdown of our income source distribution can be found on our financials page.
How can I get involved in preventing child abuse and neglect?
- Donations are tax-deductible and can be made directly to the Children's Trust or via an easy check-off on your South Carolina tax return. We also accept in-kind donations of goods and professional services.
